Crossing items off my agenda honestly feeds my soul though, so my forgetting to do so, in and of itself, is very indicative of how occupied I actually was. Anyways, for the first weeks of December, we were spending multiple hours a day finishing our final projects for our animation class. And the second week of December, we stayed up until 4 am everyday to work on it. Then, the day before our final was due, we both still had quite a bit to do, but Borderline (a project that lets students create murals enhanced by augmented reality in the tunnels of MIT) had it’s semester showcase. It adds to my steven-universe-is-my-life aesthetic. So because of Borderline and Secret Senpai, we ended up having to stay up until 7am that day (or I guess, the next day?)  to finish our animation projects. It was truly painful  worth it  because both events were really fun! Collective voice for rest of post: Even though the timing  wasnt ideal,  both events were really awesome! After we caught up on sleep from that, we had to begin  reviewing  relearning learning  6.00 (intro to programming and data science) in preparation for our final. We actually only left Next House 2 times in a period of 6 days. Our existence was sad, sedentary, and solely comprised of studying, besides those 2 times. The first thing that got us out of Next was going to see an acapella concert (the Logs fall semester show) with a friend! Their performance, themed around The Bachelorette, was amazing and hilarious! As we were leaving Kresge auditorium, amidst the crowd of people, we somehow totally coincidentally bumped into every exec member/friend (minus the benevolent overlord president) from a club we’re part of! The second of the two times we went outside was for a baking study break with that very club! Even though barely anyone outside the exec of the club showed up, it was really fun to just bake scones and talk and listen to holiday music! Okay so, finals are done now. The society merely recognizes that need. It is urgent and must be taken into consideration. Bin Laden, has his own way of looking at and discerning of the Islamic belief and tradition. Likewise, he has his own way of interpreting the codes of conduct or the morality included and written in the Quran. If his decision failed him, then logically, somehow his knowledge and interpretation of the Quran may be different from the original message of it. Muslim, Islam, Allah and the 9/11 Bombing September 11 terrorists thought or believed that their action is Allah’s will (Zacharias). While other Muslims think it is corrupted Islam. If such difference of belief exists among Muslims, what does other people from other beliefs to believe? Is terrorism a fruit of an Islamic worldview or a fruit of socio economic situation? It was through military invasion that Islam was spread out. After the death of Muhammed without a heir or successor, Islam movement was divided (Zacharias). In this time of division, some readings of Quran were destroyed. Thus, this incident becomes a controversy among critics for they think that textual tampering took place. Four sources of Quran accounts and history after the incident emerged- the Hadith, the Sunna, the Sira, and the Tafsir (Zacharias). But different sects of Islam have different levels of importance to these sources. This is an evidence why Muslims, most of the time, are not unanimated in terms of opinion, actions or methods within their religion today. In this situation, Muslims rely on abrogation. One doctor, Robert Rieber, of John Jay College of Criminal Justice asserted in a study before the American Psychological Association that Wilburs diagnosis was incorrect. Another doctor who had treated Mason in Wilburs absence also proclaimed that Mason was a hysteric. According to skeptics Wilbur lead Mason to name the emotional personas. They assert that Wilbur did this initially to allow Mason the opportunity to discuss her abuse through the voice of another so she did not have to acknowledge it herself. This is slightly different from a person who actual has the disorder and their subconscious does the disconnecting. Rieber and others publicly have stated that Wilbur and the books author sensationalized Masons case to sell books. However, a close friend of Masons said that she asserted that the book and movie was true. As a possible highly suggestible hysteric patient she probably would believe that the book and movie represented real events. Sybils behavior is not typical of a dissociated identity disorder. Most documented cases of DID do not have as many alter selves and they generally do not behave so drastically. According to Rieber, Wibur often asked Mason to speak to her in the voice of Peggy or another one of Masons so called personas. He said that by leading the patient in this fashion she implanted the characters and their identities into Mason. The movie, however, does not give evidence to this. In the movie Sybil truly exhibits the symptoms of a DID. Under certain circumstance a psychiatrist may use prolong interviews, hypnosis or drugs during interviews before being able to make a diagnosis of DID, (Real Mental Health, 2006). Rieber criticized Wilbur for using drugs and hypnosis during diagnosis yet in the movie, which may or may not be representative of the real case, Wilburs use of these methods was consistent with the description of diagnosis. All of these measures encourage a shift of personality states during the evaluation, (Real Mental Health, 2006, 6). Personality shifts were present in the film. Sybil would transform into a baby, teenager or carpenter at the mention of certain memories. Some of the symptoms of DID that Sybil experienced were blackouts, which were evident throughout the film, headaches and time lapses. However, there are a few other symptoms that Sybil did not have such as awareness of others. Many DID patients are aware of other personalities which share their body. This can manifest itself in the form of voices or hallucinations, (Real Mental Health). It is uncertain if Mason actually was a DID case. Investigations by several different doctors uncovered no evidence of abuse at Masons hometown. Although people who knew Mason as a child and knew her mother did say that there was something strange about their relationship. There is virtually no mention about Masons father and any knowledge he may have had of the abuse but it is certain that after therapy Mason did completely break all ties with her family and hometown. No matter if the movie was highly dramatized or if it was an accurate portrayal of Masons illness one thing is certain the character Sybil was a DID. She showed symptoms of transforming from one personality to another depending on the level of fear, sadness, loneliness or happiness that she experienced. Each emotion was distinctly represented by a fully articulated persona. By the end of the movie Sybil is able to face her personalities after disclosing the final most horrendous abuse memory. Each personality had access to these memories yet none of them were able to share it with Wilbur. However, in the final scenes of the movie Sybil is able to express to Wilbur the sexual abuse that she endured and thus is able to meet her other personalities which were protecting her from this final piece of her childhood. As he floats to heaven the background becomes brighter and slowly fades to white, this connotes peacefulness. The genre of the music video is Indie. This video belongs to this genre because the music featured in the video is Indie. Indie music sounds home made like it is not edited with effects to change the artist voice. The band who sings this song used instruments to make their own music. Most Indie music is from bands that play their own instruments. In it, they proposed to have a buffer zone free of ethnic Albanians. The buffer zone would lie between Albania and Kosovo-Metohia, which would effectively end the mutual ethnic cleansing, and act as a sort of containment solution. The implementation of this plan however is far from realization, since the war continues to rage. V. Conclusion   Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  Ã‚  The situation in Kosovo, is a long and exciting study of the Theories on Balance of Power, and its role in peace keeping. Unfortunately, the theory has been more of a method for analyzing the patterns of war in the region. It will take some measure of inequality to end this war. Peter DeWitt novel â€Å"The Sister Brothers† is set in western frontiers of America in 1850’s. Eli and Charlie Sisters are notorious professional killers, are on their way to California to kill a man named Hermann Kermit Warm. Charlie makes money and kills anyone who stands in his way. While Eli on the other hand has doubts about what they do for a living and falls in love easily. In â€Å"The Prince† by Niccolo Machiavelli he says the best way to manipulate people and gain power is through Intelligence, fear and emotion.In the novel â€Å"The Sister Brothers† Charlie the eldest brother employs all of these tactics to control his brother and those around him. â€Å"The wise man does at once what the fool does finally†- Niccolo Machiavelli Charlie uses his intelligence to trick others into thinking that he is a gunslinger that plays by the rules. In one instance, Charlie and Eli are cornered by a group of trappers. The trappers plan to kill the brot hers to gain fame and fortune. So Charlie proposes the idea of a fair duel between him and the leader.As Eli counts to three Charlie turns around and shoots all the trappers in the head killing all of them. Charlie was able to dominate the situation and live by using intellect. â€Å"It is better to be feared than loved, if you cannot be both†- Niccolo Machiavell Charlie though has the best of both worlds. His brother loves him devotedly while others around him fear him. Charlie has killed so many men that he has become infamous and when people hear his name they tremble with fear. For example when Charlie and Eli trap Hermann he lays his gun down and gives up without a second thought.He knows that they could kill him before he even moved to pull the trigger. â€Å"A wise prince should establish himself on that which is in his own control and not in that of others† â€Å"I was not an efficient killer. I was not and had never been and would never be. Charlie had been a ble to make use of my temper was all; he had manipulated me, exploited my personality†-Eli Sister. During their days as assassin Charlie had tempered Eli into a killer through his personality. All Eli wanted to do was protect his brother from those who wished to hurt him.Charlie understood this and used his brothers protective emotions to advance himself in criminal underworld. In all of the violent situations that occur in the novel Charlie and Eli always come out on top through intelligence, fear and emotion. Niccolo Machiavelli would call Charlie â€Å"The Perfect Prince†. Charlie has used all of the techniques that Niccolo would advise someone to gain and maintain power in their lives. As young children we begin to develop a personality, one that is based off of the people we are surrounded with. When identifying who we are as people, physical appearance is less important in comparison to our spirits and mindsets. In Philip K. Dick’s A Scanner Darkly, the protagonist, Bob Arctor, has fallen victim to a highly addictive drug called Substance D, which has the side effect of splitting the personality in one’s mind. In dealing with the abuse of this drug, Arctor begins to lose himself and forgets what really makes him who he is. Our souls, character and appearance determine who we are as people, without these three attributes it would be very difficult to differentiate between one human from the next. The brain begins to develop in the first trimester of pregnancy, even as fetuses we are able to think and begin to develop our personalities inside the womb. As we enter the world and begin living, our surrounding environments control the outcomes of our minds, bodies and spirits. If you are born into a wealthy family, it is more than likely that you will live a wealthy lifestyle; if you are born into a poor family, it is more than likely that you will live a poor lifestyle. In society, we are first identified by how much money we have, then by how we look and at last we begin to learn more about each other to identify who our characters are through how we wish to portray ourselves. Our personalities begin to develop when we are first able to open our eyes, smile and really when we begin to communicate with each other. From there we begin to learn what we like to do in life; whether it be dancing, singing, painting, playing sports, etc. These attributes are major when identifying a person. Our spirits begin to develop at an early age and although they can be slightly altered as life goes on, we never really change entirely. One can be judged by their physical appearance and be separated from one person to the next simply based on that, however, if asked who Bob Marley is as a person, the answer would be far more detailed than if only asked what he looks like. Personality and character traits are really the basis of determining who we are as people. If a set of identical twins were put in the same room together and a group of people were asked to differentiate between Sarah and Mary, they would only be able to based on appearance. The more in depth question would be, how can you tell who Sarah is and who Mary is? In answering this question many key attributes are discussed such as, Sarah may be more energetic, loud, creative, talkative, religious and athletic than Mary, allowing for their friends to automatically know who is who when confronted by either twin. Personality always gives the answer. If the personality changes or begins to morph into two different sides, determining who someone is becomes a very difficult task. In A Scanner Darkly, Fred goes undercover as a drug addict in order to solve a major case but in doing so, he himself becomes addicted to the drug and his personality begins to split into two different people, Fred and Bob; Fred being the undercover cop and Bob being the addict. As Fred’s life morphs into Bob’s, he begins to lose himself entirely and the world as he knew it before completely changes into something different than he thought. â€Å"He will sink into a needle-and-a-spoon existence, or bounce off the walls in a psychiatric hospital or, worst of all, a federal clinic†¦And all this will occur deliberately, someone figured out what he was doing and then got him this way. The worst way of all: with the stuff they sell that he was after them for selling. (86) His personality can no longer be analyzed because he thinks as two entirely different people as if he has two separate brains in one head. Clearly this is an issue due to the fact that we are recognized by our personalities. If two personalities are competing against one another inside of one mind, there is no way to really know who that person is. Fred loses himself in Bob’s world and the drug becomes more important than anything else, as it usually does inside the mi nd of a drug addict. Without the soul, the body is like a light bulb without electricity. The soul gives the body meaning and purpose, without it there would only be boys and girls, not unique individuals with their own characteristics. The soul carries along every memory, experience, encounter, and detail of each person in the world. A wise soul will think beyond their years, a young soul will stay a teenager at heart forever and an evil soul will end up in the dark side of life and all of these souls grow through life experiences and will only be influenced by these experiences. The soul in one person does not change entirely through life experiences it can only change slightly by being influenced by those around us. In determining who we are as people, the soul is the key ingredient and it should be the first thing that is analyzed from one human being to the next. Variables and hypothesis: The variables involved in this research work are number of birds in a poultry farms, total production figures, salary of poultry workers, and job satisfaction of poultry workers. The production of eggs and meats depends on the number of poultry birds. Therefore, in a regression set up, the production figure will be the dependent variable and number of poultry birds is the independent variable. The salary of poultry workers and their job satisfaction is dependent on the production of poultry products and selling of those products. Therefore, production figures are the dependent variables and salary of workers and job satisfaction are the independent variables. The hypothesis that are to be tested are: H01: There is no change in the export values of poultry farming products. H02: There is a change in the export values of poultry farming products in the recent days. Operational definitions and measurements: The problem in this research work is to estimate the effect of change of export values due to introduction of new technologies in poultry farming. The data collected is both of primary and secondary type. The primary data collected is based on stratified sampling. The whole country is divided into different regions. Each region can be considered as one stratum. Thereafter, a sample is collected from each stratum. A 5% error can be tolerated as the figures are for the whole country and quite large. The secondary data that has been collected to Australian Bureau of Statistics is subjected to non sampling error. Research design and methodology: The data collected is the primary data. The primary data is collected by the process of stratified sampling procedure. The country experiences different types of climate in different regions. Consequently, the natural vegetation of the country will be different in different regions. Based on this, the country is divided into different strata and a sample is collected from each stratum. The research questions can be answered on the basis of the collected data. The data is not subjected to any constraint. Data collection: The data collected in this case includes both primary and secondary data. The primary data are to be collected from the poultry farms about number of birds in each farm, the total production figure of eggs, the total amount of meat produced, the salary of the poultry workers, and the job satisfaction experienced by each poultry worker. This particular data is collected from various poultry farms spread across different regions across the country. The number of poultry farms in the country is subdivided according to different regions. The outskirts of the regions of Sydney, Newcastle, Griffith, Byron Bay falls under the first category. The second category includes the farms of Redland Bay, north and south west regions of Mareeba. Outskirts of Adelaide, Wells area is part of the third group. Perths outer regions are under the fourth group. The regions of east of Melbourne, Geelong and Bendingo regions are under the fifth group. Moreover, the export import figures can be collected from the statistical tables of the site of Australian Bureau of Statistic (Abs.gov.au 2016). Data analysis: The analysis of the data can be carried out by applying various descriptive statistics methods. The measures of central tendency of previous years figures and current figure will reflect the effects of change in traditional poultry farming methods. Apart from these, the regression methods can be applied to find out the effect of change in traditional methods of poultry farming on export import values. In that case, the import export values will be the dependent variable and the production figures of eggs, meat will be the independent variable. A significant value of the regression coefficient will indicate the variable that has a major effect on the export figures. Conclusion: In this assignment the change of traditional methods of poultry farming of Australia will be studied. An outline idea about the methods of data collection and an analysis and interpretation of the data is given in this assignment. The impact of the use of new technology and enforcement of new laws regarding poultry farming on trade and commerce has been studied in this assignment. This would give an idea about the improvement brought about in trade and commerce due to the application of new technologies in poultry farming.
